Disclosed are devices, a systems, andmethods for determining the dipole densities on heartwalls. In particular, a triangularization of the heart wall isperformed in which the dipole density of each of multipleregions correlate to the potential measured at various locationswithin the associated chamber of the heart. To createa database of dipole densities, mapping informationrecorded by multiple electrodes located on one or morecatheters and anatomical information is used. In additionskin electrodes may be implemented.
