To smoothly shift to image display for another purpose of interpretation while presenting a measurement line, which is a basis of measurement, on a medical image.SOLUTION: At an interpretation terminal, a medical image of an interpretation target is displayed by a display part, a measurement line is displayed on the medical image displayed by the display part, and a measurement value is calculated on the basis of a position of the measurement line. It does not matter whether the position of the measurement line is designated automatically or manually. A time since the measurement line has been displayed on the medical image is counted with a timer (step S17), and after a predetermined time has elapsed (step S18； YES), the display of the measurement line is stopped (step S19).
