PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of instantly taking excreted fluid into an absorber, easy to be deformed to an external force in a worn state, and hardly causing wearing discomfort.SOLUTION: An absorber 4 has a laminated structure made by laminating a plurality of layers of pulp-containing absorbent sheets 401 and 402. The laminated structure of the absorbent sheet has the central absorbent sheet 402 positioned on an excretion opposite part, and the body absorbent sheet 401 laminated on the central absorbent sheet 402 so as to extend outward from at least part of the circumference of the central absorbent sheet 402. The excretion opposite part in the absorber 4 is formed with a plurality of vertical slits 43 cut in the thickness direction of the absorber 4, along the vertical direction in a dispersed state.
