The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, ameliorating, or treating allergic diseases. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition which is effective in preventing, ameliorating, or treating allergic diseases. To this end, the composition contains a Japanese prickly ash berry extract as an active ingredient, reduces concentration of histamine and immunoglobulin E (IgE) in blood, and inhibits inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2).
