Disclosed is a self-destructing transdermal therapeutic system (TTS) comprising at least one active ingredient, at least one agent in solid or paste form which makes the active ingredient useless, at least one separation layer impermeable to solids but permeable to liquids between the active ingredient and the agent which makes the active ingredient useless, at least one mobile phase separated from said agent and active ingredient, and at least one mechanical means for perforation which possesses a blunt outer contour and a sharp or pointed internal region, wherein upon removal of the TTS after use, the separation between the mobile phase and the agent which makes the active ingredient useless is perforated or removed by the mechanical means for perforation, so that the mobile phase can approach and dissolve the agent which makes the active ingredient useless, allowing the agent to move through the separation layer between the agent and the active ingredient and come into contact with the active ingredient, thereby destroying, decomposing and/or making useless the active ingredient.
