PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor assembly for surely attaching tissue to a bone.SOLUTION: An anchor assembly 10 includes: an anchor 20 that defines a proximal portion 21, a distal portion 22, a cavity and an opening 24 to the cavity and an insertion member 30 that is formed for being arranged within the cavity of the anchor. A transverse through-hole 25 is arranged between the proximal portion and the distal portion. Opening 25a, 25b are arranged at each end part of the transverse through-hole. The anchor includes multiple protrusion parts 26 that are arranged in a distal direction at each opening. The protrusion parts facilitate supply of flexible members such as a suture, etc. through the transverse through-hole, and enable generation of a path in a wall of a bone hole when the anchor is inserted in the bone hole.
