Hub-bearing assembly (10) comprising:- a rolling bearing provided with an outer ring (11), at least an inner ring (16, 17), at least a row (14, 15) of rolling bodies (15) and a sealing device (21) arranged at one end of the assembly,- a housing (12) having an almost annular cylindrical shape, the housing at the one end forming a radial flange (12), containing the rolling bearing and being in direct contact with the bearing outer ring (11), the housing (12) being made of plastic material co-molded on the outer ring (11) of the rolling bearing,- a closing cap (18), assembled on the housing (12) at the opposite end with respect to the end, where the sealing device (21) is arranged and the housing forms the flange (12), the cap being cup shaped,- the assembly (10) further comprising axial retention means (111, 112, 121, 122, 200, 400), which are located along an external surface (110) of the outer ring (11), said retention means being opposed to the axial sliding of the outer ring (11) with respect to the housing (12), wherein said axial retention means comprise a retention ring (200, 400), which is assembled with radial interference on the bearing outer ring (11), said retention ring (200, 400) presenting a section, substantially "L" shaped, having a substantially radially extended wing (210, 300), which provides the ring with mechanical resistance and which separates the outer ring (11) from the sealing device (21).
