PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering member capable of covering a rooftop or roof of a building for various purposes. SOLUTION: This covering member 3 has a base plate 5, projections 16 which are projected from one surface 7 of both surfaces of the base plate, a first joining piece 22 which is raised from one of both edges of the base plate 5 to be formed into a partition-like shape, and a second joining piece 25 which is raised from the other of the both edges of the base plate 5 to be formed into the partition-like shape. And, the base plate 5 has partition parts 13 which are each located in the direction rectangular to the first joining piece 22 or the second joining piece 25. Further, each of the projections 16 has a hole 18 which is perforated from the surface 7 of the base plate to the other surface 8. The covering members 3 are together joined in the two-dimensional direction, so that a covering installation is formed.
