The purpose of the present invention is to provide an ultraviolet radiation device which is capable of emitting ultraviolet light having a wavelength around 200 nm with high luminous intensity, and which is also capable of suppressing the generation of ozone in the external environment of the device even if the device is used in the atmosphere. An ultraviolet radiation device according to the present invention is provided with: an ultraviolet light source which emits light including ultraviolet light having a wavelength that is absorbed by oxygen and generates ozone; and an ozone generation layer forming member which is arranged at a distance from the ultraviolet light source and forms an ozone generation layer between itself and the ultraviolet light source, said ozone generation layer being composed of a gas that generates ozone by absorbing ultraviolet light. This ultraviolet radiation device is characterized in that the light from the ultraviolet light source is emitted through the ozone generation layer forming member.
