The invention relates to a system (1) suitable for transporting materials and comprising: side walls made of concrete (3, 4) and, optionally, a bottom wall joining the side walls, forming a conveying enclosure (Ec) therebetween, and a belt conveyor (2), provided in said conveying enclosure, having a flexible conveyor belt (5) and one or more guide elements (6a, 6b, 6c) suitable for guiding and/or supporting the conveyor belt (5), the guide elements comprising support shafts (60). According to the invention, the system comprises, as a first option, attachment inserts (7) embedded in the concrete of the side walls (3, 4), or, as a second option, attachment cavities hollowed out in the mass of the side walls (3, 4), the longitudinal ends (E1) of the shafts (60) being received in the inserts (7) of the first option or in the attachment cavities of the second option.
