PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a factor as being a biomarker which can be used in inspection diagnosis and therapy for ALS.SOLUTION: By measuring AMBRA1 specified by the present invention, an intractable neurodegenerative disease, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis can be detected. In addition, the miRNA controlling AMBRA1 and AMBRA1 can be used in inspection diagnosis and therapy for the disease.
