A duvet cover fitting apparatus 1 comprising an anchoring means 2 slidable between a surface of a mattress and one adjacent surface only for sandwiching and supporting the anchoring means 2, a clamping arrangement 3 having a first clamping means 4 and a movable clamping means 5 in operable engagement with the first clamping means 4 for releasably clamping a portion of a duvet cover and a portion of a duvet together for allowing fitting of the duvet cover to the duvet, the movable clamping means 5 and first clamping means 4 being adapted so that a gripping force between these clamping means 4, 5 is increasable by an operator pulling on the duvet cover and/or duvet locatable there between.
