PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic image diagnostic apparatus which, when obtaining an ultrasonic image of a joint of a finger, are capable of continuing to always retain an appropriate amount of echo jelly between the joint of an object and the ultrasonic probe, and obtaining a proper ultrasonic image regardless of the level of an operators technique.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe P is provided with an ultrasonic vibrator A for transmitting/receiving ultrasonic waves, one end of the ultrasonic probe P being connected to an ultrasonic image diagnostic apparatus 1.
