The disclosed additive combination offers several advantages including increased reaction rate, higher yield and reduction in amineoxy-PEG equivalents required to complete the conjugation reaction. A typical reaction can be performed by combining an additive or additive system with a solution of protein and amine oxy-PEG reagent.
