PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for an endoscope, the imaging device being easy to assemble and reduced in size along an optical axis of an objective optical system to make an imaging part of the endoscope smaller.SOLUTION: An imaging device 60 to be disposed at a tip 17 of an endoscope includes a lens tube 62 holding an objective optical system 62a to receive image light from a region to be imaged and forme an image, a right-angled prism 64 to orthogonally bend a direction of an optical path of image light passed through the objective optical system 62a, an imager 70 in which an imaging surface 70a is disposed along a plane orthogonal to the direction of the right path bent by the right-angled prism 64, an imaging board 68 on which the imager 70 is mounted, and a multi-layered substrate 80 to be mounted on the imaging board 68.
