PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil type sunscreen cosmetic which forms a cosmetic film with a high transparency, is excellent in UV-screening effect and shows an extremely improved feel at use, i.e. settles well on the skin (i.e. gets promptly fixed without running down the skin at application ) and gives a light feel without oiliness.
SOLUTION: The water-in-oil type sunscreen cosmetic comprises (A) a volatile organopolysiloxane, (B) a particulate metal oxide, (C) a siloxane compound essentially having an organopolysiloxane group and a long-chain alkyl group on its branch polymer in the molecule and (D) ethanol.
