Disclosed are tissue graft compositions made from particles having different densities, methods of making these compositions, and methods of using these compositions to promote tissue regeneration in a patient. A composition of bioabsorbable particulate matter having a plurality of first bioabsorbable particles having a first density and a first absorption rate upon implantation at a site of a patient, and implantation at the site of a patient. At a second density and a second absorption rate, wherein the second density is at least 150% of the first density, and the second absorption rate is between about 1 and about 1% of the first absorption rate. A composition in the range of about 10-fold, wherein the plurality of first and second bioabsorbable particles promote tissue regeneration and repair when implanted in a tissue site of a mammalian patient.
