Disclosed is a biological container that prevents living organisms from being spread even in a disaster or the like. A biological container according to an embodiment includes: a first container having a spreading prevention mechanism for preventing external spreading of breedable elements from living organisms accommodated alive therein； a second container accommodating the first container therein and having the spreading prevention mechanism； and a detector for detecting that prevention of spreading of the elements is impaired for at least one among the first container and the second container.本發明之課題在於提供一種即使在災害時等亦能防止生物之擴散的生物收容器。本發明解決手段之生物收容器的一個方式具備：第1容器，其具有防止以存活狀態收容於內部之生物的繁殖可能要素擴散至外部的擴散防止機構；第2容器，其將上述第1容器收容於內部，具有上述擴散防止機構；及檢測器，其針對上述第1容器及上述第2容器之至少一方，進行上述要素之擴散防止受損的檢測。
