The present invention features a topical compositioncomprising a first conductive material in electriccommunication with a second conductive material, where thedifference of the standard potentials of the first conductivematerial and the second conductive material is at least 0.2 Vand electricity between the first conductive material and thesecond conductive material are generated as a result of suchdifference of the standard potentials. The method of use ofthe topical composition in the treatment of skin conditionsincluding acne or rosacea by applying electricity to skin inneed of such treatment is also described.
