The invention provides methods that relate to a novel therapeutic strategy for the treatment of hematological malignancies and inflammatory diseases. In particular, the method comprises administration of a compound of formula A, wherein R is H, halo, or C1-C6 alkyl R&prime is C1-C6 alkyl or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and optionally a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient and one or more additional therapeutic agents optionally selected from the group consisting of bendamustine, rituximab, and ofatumumab.
