The present invention is a user friendly low cost stent for accurate and reproducible measurement of probing pocket depth around dental implants consisting of a vacuum formed thermoplastic poly vinyl chloride (PVC) sheet with four vertical slots adapted on concerned implant abutment. This standardizes angulation of insertion of periodontal probe at every recall appointment. It also provides fixed landmark/s for accurate comparison of pocket depth at multiple appointments. The device is used after removal of prosthesis/crown, which nullifies effect of contour of prosthetic restoration on probe angulation thus providing repeatability of measurements.
