This invention provides a collapsible chair which can be folded by one hand and easily carried without any difficulty. The collapsible chair of this invention also improves the appearance when the chair is left standing by itself with an upper side of a seat facing forwards in a folded state. The collapsible chair 10 is provided with a pair of right and left front legs 11, a pair of right and left rear legs 12, and a seat portion 13 supported from below by the front legs 11 and rear legs 12, the seat portion 13 being adapted for use with an upper surface 13B as a seat surface. By grabbing and lifting a rear edge of the seat portion 13 with the rear legs 12 facing rear wards with respect to the seat portion 13 and rotating the seat portion 13 to cause the upper surface 13B to face frontwards, and folding the front legs 11 and rear legs to move close to each other, the chair can be left standing by itself in a folded state.
