PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handle operation in the mouth by improving a handle shape in an excision tool for removing viable tissue such as the epidermis, for example, when the excision tool is used as a gum excision tool.SOLUTION: The length of a handle 4 is set smaller than the outer diameter of the handle 4 and the handle 4 is shaped flat. The proximal end part 2b of a blade cylinder 2 is inserted into the installation hole 9 of the handle 4, and then the proximal end part 2b of the blade cylinder 2 fitted in a connection groove 12 of the handle 4 is held between the outer cylinder 5 and the inner cylinder 11 of the handle 4. The grip of both arms of an existing pair of dental tweezers is inserted into the opening hole 13 of the handle 4 and pressurized with elasticity, so that the handle 4 can be rotated while a gum excision tool 1 is stably held with the dental tweezers inside the mouth. The handle 4 is made flat and the total length of the gum excision tool 1 is made smaller which is the sum of the exposed length of the blade cylinder 2 and the length of the handle 4. As a result, when the gum excision tool 1 is put inside the mouth, with the blade cylinder 2 applied to the gum, and with the handle 4 rotated with fingers, the handle 4 hardly bumps inside the mouth, facilitating operation and making the epidermis of the gum easier to be removed.
