Additionally, a system for monitoring need for a product refill using the same or similar apparatus is provided. In an aspect, the present invention provides an apparatus that includes a vessel for holding a product including a pharmaceutical product and a measuring apparatus capable of determining the amount or similar physical and/or chemical characteristic of the product in the enclosure and also capable of detecting a change in that characteristic.
