An absorptive article with an absorption body having a large absorption capacityand capable of being easily inserted between the buttocks of a wearer. The absorptionarticle worn on the body of a wearer has an absorptive article body having a longitudinaldirection as well as a lateral direction and a thickness direction that are perpendicularto the longitudinal direction and also has the absorption body superposed inthe longitudinal direction on the absorptive article body. One end in the longitudinaldirection of the absorption body is joined in a non-separable manner to the absorptivearticle body, and the other end is joined also to the absorptive article body butin a separable manner. The absorption body is more easily stretched in the lateraldirection at its portion facing the absorption article body than its portionon the opposite side of the absorption body, which opposite side does not facethe absorption article body.
