PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning type laser photographing apparatus capable of certainly focusing a laser beam on an object to be photographed.SOLUTION: The scanning type laser photographing apparatus is equipped with an irradiation optical system 40 for scanning the eyeground Er of an eye E to be examined by the laser beams emitted from laser beam sources 41 and 42 and an observation optical system 60 for receiving the reflected beam of the laser beam reflected from the eyeground Er or the fluorescence excited by the laser beams to observe the eyeground Er. In the irradiation optical system 40, a light condensation detecting means for detecting the light condensation state of the laser beams condensed on the eyeground Er is provided in the scanning type laser photographing apparatus having a focus matching optical system 31 for focusing the laser beams on the eyeground Er.
