Ported catheter assemblies are disclosed that include a catheter hub (10) having a distal end (14) an interior cavity (13) and a proximal end (12) a port (15) extending from the catheter hub (10) and communicating with the interior cavity (13) of the catheter hub (10) a catheter tube (40) extending from the distal end (14) of the catheter hub (10) and a seal formed between the port (15) and the interior cavity (13) of the catheter hub (10). The port (15) is radially offset from the catheter hub (10) such that a central axis of the port (15) and a central axis of the interior cavity (13) of the catheter hub (10) do not intersect and are offset from each other. An in line port is also disclosed.
