PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for growing an ornamental aquatic plant wherein a producer and a user can easily grow the aquatic plant. SOLUTION: The method for growing the ornamental aquatic plant is obtained by: placing caulescent grass 13 and/or basal grass 11 and 12 which are cut so as to include a growing point, on a base 10 configured by filling culture soil in a bag made of a net-like material; inserting a metallic or plastic inverted U-shaped fixer 14 into the base to fix the caulescent grass and/or basal grass to the base; placing the base on a tray 15 and feeding water by sprinkling; and making the caulescent grass and/or basal grass take root through the bag of the base.
