The present disclosure describes systems and methods for authenticating via photoplethysmography. In accordance with an embodiment a method includes authenticating a wearer of a wearable device； operating the wearable device to collect a first set of cardiac data from the wearer； capturing video data of a user of a target computing device； extracting a second set of cardiac data from the captured video data； and authenticating the user of the target computing device by a method that includes comparing the first set of cardiac data to the second set of cardiac data.L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant une authentification par photopléthysmographie.
