It is intended to provide tablet composed of multiple drug-containing parts and one or more joining parts bonded thereto, wherein one dividing line is formed in the joining part so that the whole tablet can be divided a coated tablet as described above wherein the joining part and the coating layer have the same or different functions of regulating drug release a tablet as described above wherein the drug-containing part having a dividing line is coated with an insoluble coating and the tablet has such a constitution or composition as to allow the substantial release of the drug when divided along the dividing line of the drug-containing part before taking and a drug as described above composed of multiple drug-containing parts and one or more joining parts bonded thereto wherein at least two drug-containing parts are different in composition from each other. Moreover, it is intended to provide a method of producing a tablet characterized by comprising compression molding a columnar material having multiple columnar medicinal composition layers connected along the axial direction of the column on a single cross section, and then compression molding the same in a direction differing from the axial direction of the column.
