In routine practice of diagnosis and therapeutics of pleural diseases, a chest physician needs costly video assisted thoracoscope (VATS)as well bronchoscope as well. This not oniy heightens the cost of basic investments but also need well equipped operation theatre and special training. If a device is prepared which will enable the chests physician to use his fiber optic bronchoscope for above purposes then the cost of separate thoracoscope can be waived. I have devised the conduit for this purposes which has specific angulations, windows and both ends with required modifications. The body of this device is tubular structure with long and flat patient end and circular viewer end with an air tube. There is a window at the angle for direct visualization This device helps dual purposes. It can be used as conduit for passing the fiber optic bronchoscope through a thoracic stoma and visualizing it also can be used to retract the lungs during VATS
