An injection device (110) is described having a housing (112) and a housingclosure means (130). The injection device (110) houses a syringe (114) havinga needle (118) which is sealed by a boot (120). The housing closure means(130) is arranged so that the boot can be connected to the housing closuremeans simply, but cannot be removed from the housing closure means. Thehousing and housing closure means are arranged so that upon rotation of thehousing closure means, the housing closure means is moved axially away fromthe housing and the boot and the boot is removed from the syringe. Theinjection device is simple to use and manufacture.
