The invention has an object to provide an ultrasound probe capable of improving workability of mounting a balloon and removing air bubbles and the like after the mounting of the balloon. To this end, the ultrasound probe includes an ultrasound transmission/reception portion which transmits and receives ultrasound, a proximal-end-side balloon fixing portion formed on a more proximal end side than the ultrasound transmission/reception portion, the proximal-end-side balloon fixing portion, being formed in a stepped shape in which a proximal end side is high.
