PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in shape retention of an absorber even when force is applied from the outside.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises an absorber which includes a water-absorbing resin particle (P) having a crosslinked polymer (A) having a water soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a hydrolyzability vinyl monomer (a2), and a crosslinking agent (b) as the essential constitutional unit, a liquid diffusion member (B), and a gel particle shape retaining agent (C) as a cationic organic polymer (c1) having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000,000 or more.
