Provided is a fitting for a medical scoping device, the fitting comprising a body defining a longitudinal axis, the body having an interior having an opening to receive an endoscope along the longitudinal axis, the body having a cylindrical portion comprising protuberances being spaced apart and circumferentially arrayed with respect to one another and extending from the cylindrical portion, each of the protuberances having an outer edge to engage tissue, wherein optionally (i) the interior comprises a plurality of raised surfaces disposed thereon and/or (ii) each protuberance having a bottom surface having a plurality of raised surfaces disposed thereon.
