PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical apparatus which can easily vary a direction of the visual field of a medical instrument installed inside a body based on the operation from the outside the body, to a desired direction, and has excellent operability, and good responsiveness of the variable visual field based on the operation.SOLUTION: The medical apparatus 1 having an image pickup unit 2 retained and fixed in a body wall 102 of the inside an introduced body 101 and a plurality of operation wires 26-29 includes: an observation direction controller 3 for changing the observation direction of the image pickup section 2 a cable 4 in which the plurality of the operation wires 26-29 are inserted in a state that the image pickup section 2 is fixed and retained in the body wall 102, drawn out to the outside the body a connecting mechanism 57, wherein retainers 26a-29a are arranged at end parts of the plurality of the operation wires 26-29, respectively and the cable 4 are connected outside thereof for retaining and connecting the retainers 26a-29a and an observation direction operation section 5 for operating the observation direction controller from the outside the body.
