PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic device which is realized as an AD type narrow-diameter endoscope with no need of replacement of ADs for a near-point observation and for an infinite observation.
SOLUTION: The endoscopic device 1 includes: an endoscope 2 an optical adapter 20 freely detachably attached to the leading end part 17 of the endoscope 2 and a control part 88. The fixed diaphragm 29 of the optical adapter 20 is set so that the diaphragm diameter thereof may become larger than the smallest diaphragm diameter of the variable diaphragm mechanism 35 of the leading end part 17. In the infinite observation, the control part 88 controls the variable diaphragm mechanism 36 to open the diaphragm larger than the diaphragm diameter of the fixed diaphragm 29 and adjusts the light quantity through the fixed diaphragm 29 of the optical adapter 20, in the near-point observation, the control part controls the variable diaphragm mechanism 35 to make the diaphragm diameter the smallest and adjusts the light quantity through the variable diaphragm mechanism 35 positioned in the leading end part 17. The control part controls the variable diaphragm mechanism 35 in accordance with a distance up to the inspection portion of an observation so as to switch the working positions of the fixed diaphragm 29 and the variable diaphragm mechanism 35.
