The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a 2-ethoxypropionic acid derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient for preventing or treating breast cancer. Particularly, the 2-ethoxypropionic acid derivative composition is determined for effects thereof on inhibiting growth and enhancing the efficacy of an anti-cancer drug in terms of breast cancer most related with the abnormal function of bio-clock genes. According to the present invention, it is shown that the compound has a strong effect on reinforcing E-box transcription activity, induces suspension of a cell cycle and apoptosis, selectively inhibits the growth of MCF-7 human breast cancer cells while having a weak effect upon normal breast cells, and increases the sensitivity of breast cancer cells to an anti-cancer drug. Thus, the derivative compound is useful for preventing and treating breast cancer.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017본 발명은 2-에톡시프로피온산 유도체(2-ethoxypropionic acid derivative) 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용가능한 염을 포함하는 유방암의 예방 및 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 생체 시계 유전자의 비정상적인 기능과 가장 연관성이 깊은 유방암을 대상으로, 2-에톡시프로피온산 유도체 화합물의 성장 억제 및 항암제 효능 증진 효과를 측정하였고, 상기 화합물은 E-box 전사 활성에 대한 강화 효과를 나타내고, 세포 주기의 정지와 세포 사멸을 유도하였으며, 정상 유방 세포에는 효과가 미미한 대신 MCF-7 인간 유방암 세포에서는 선택적으로 성장을 억제하였고, 유방암 세포의 항암제에 대한 감수성을 증가시킴을 확인함으로써, 상기 유도체 화합물은 유방암 예방 및 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
