To provide an optical sensor which efficiently uses light rays.
SOLUTION: The optical sensor 1 includes: a light emitting element 3 for emitting irradiation light towards an opposite living body a reflection mirror 8 positioned at the center of a light flux of the irradiation light emitted from the light emitting element 3 and changing a light path of the irradiation light to a direction different from a direction in which the incident irradiation light goes a light receiving element 2 which is placed back to back with the light emitting element 3 and outputs an electric signal in accordance with the amount of incident light received and a concave mirror 4 for guiding the reflecting light which reflects the irradiation light in the living body and is made incident around the light emitting element 3 to the light receiving element 2.
