The present invention relates to a sterility-preserving robotic frontend-system, including: a flexible trajectory-guide (1) comprising at least one force- and/or torque- transmitting coupling-member (4), a baffle-member (10) separating a sterile section (8) from a non-sterile section (9), and a sterility-sleeve (11) attached to the baffle- member (10); an actuator-unit (2) having a sensor-unit (13) that senses at least one of a) whether a trajectory-guide (1) is placed with respect to the actuator-unit (2) in a manner that allows engaging-members (12) to accurately engage an actuator- interface (7), and b) whether the engaging-members (12) have accurately engaged the actuator-interface (7); and a retainer-receptacle (3) adapted to temporarily accommodate the trajectory- guide (1), and to restrain flexibility of the trajectory-guide (1 ) while it is accommodated. The present invention further relates to a packaging-container having an inner sterile volume containing the retainer-receptacle (3) and the trajectory-guide (1) and a method of setting up such sterility-preserving robotic frontend-system.
