PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infusion set assembly relating to a low profile infusion set used for intermittent or continuous delivery of medication, such as insulin to a patient.SOLUTION: The infusion set assembly 1 comprises a cannula housing 15 having a base surface and a septum housing 16 adapted to be pivotally attached to the cannula housing for movement between a position where an axis thereof is substantially perpendicular to the base surface and a position where the axis is substantially parallel to the base surface. The infusion set assembly further comprises an insertion needle assembly 38 including an insertion needle and a cannula 2 supported by the needle assembly with a tip of the insertion needle extending from a distal end of the cannula.
