A system for tracking a medical device includes an introducer (20). Two or more sensors (22) are disposed along a length of the introducer and are spaced apart along the length. An interface (32) is configured to connect to the introducer such that the introducer and the interface operatively couple to and support the medical device wherein the two or more sensors are configured to provide feedback for positioning and orienting the medical device using medical imaging.Linvention concerne un système de suivi dun dispositif médical, qui comprend un dispositif dintroduction (20). Au moins deux capteurs (22) sont disposés le long dune longueur de ce dispositif dintroduction et sont espacés le long de cette longueur. Une interface (32) est configurée pour se connecter au dispositif dintroduction de telle sorte que ce dispositif dintroduction et linterface sont couplés de manière fonctionnelle au dispositif médical et assistent ce dispositif médical, les au moins deux capteurs étant configurés pour fournir des informations en retour pour le positionnement et lorientation du dispositif médical à laide dune imagerie médicale.
