A charging assembly includes a container and an external charging portion. Thecontainer includes a base and a cover. The base defines an interior volume.The coveris releasably engagable with the base for enclosing the interior volume. Thecontaineris configured to maintain the interior volume in a sterile condition. At leastone electricalcontact is disposed within the interior volume of the base. The externalcharging portionis operably couplable to the container for charging a battery assemblypositioned withinthe interior volume of the base via the at least one electrical contact.
