An ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus performs a scan of an interior of a subject to obtain two-dimensional image data of the interior, detects a position and an orientation of a scanning plane on which the two-dimensional image data is obtained, and creates and outputs a two-dimensional ultrasound image of the interior based on the position and the orientation of the scanning plane detected and the two-dimensional mage data. The ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus includes an image processing device which includes image processing controlling unit that creates a guide image, and a display device that outputs and displays plural various images including the guide image and the two-dimensional ultrasound image simultaneously. The image processing controlling unit creates the guide image which corresponds to an anatomical position and orientation of the two-dimensional ultrasound image based on a slice image data group previously stored as anatomical image data of the human body.
