The present invention relates to a surgical linear stapler for acquiring a tissue for pathological examination, wherein the tissue can be acquired stably and conveniently without any damage by a staple in suturing and cutting a surgical region. To this end, in the present invention, provided is a surgical linear stapler which comprises: a staple cartridge containing staples for suturing a surgical region a lower jaw having a cartridge receiving groove for receiving the staple cartridge an upper jaw corresponding to the lower jaw to clamp the surgical region and a cutter disposed at the rear side of the staple cartridge to cut the surgical region disposed between the upper jaw and the lower jaw while moving in a longitudinal direction of the staple cartridge by external force.
