The present invention relates to a water purification apparatus which purifies harmful substances in rivers and ponds by easily planting aquatic plants such as water hyacinth, and prevents re-contamination due to death of the aquatic plants by easily collecting the aquatic plants in winter. According to the present invention, the water purification apparatus (1) comprises: a main body (10) made in a hollow box form floated on the water by buoyancy of plants； a plant support (20) installed inside the main body (10) so as to plant the plants； and a wire (40) connecting the main body (10) to a land fixation structure.본 발명은 부레옥잠과 같은 수생식물을 용이하게 식재하여 하천이나 연못의 유해물질을 정화하고, 겨울철에 수생식물을 용이하게 회수하여 수생식물의 폐사에 따른 재오염을 방지할 수 있는 수질정화 장치에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 수질정화 장치(1)는 식생식물의 부력에 의해 물에 부양되는 속이 빈 박스 형태로 이루어진 본체(10)와, 상기 본체(10) 내부에 설치되는 식생식물 식재를 위한 식물지지체(20) 및, 상기 본체(10)를 육상의 고정구조물에 연결하는 와이어(40)를 포함한 구성으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.
