PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost by structural simplification and to enhance the effect of preventing liquid leakage through the improvement in fittability.
SOLUTION: The disposable paper diaper includes an absorbent body 10 and exterior sheets 20 and 30 forming a front body F and a back body B and having many threadlike elastic extensible members 25 to 28 arranged along waist portions 21 and 23 and girth portions 22 and 24 in the width direction of the diaper between upper layer nonwoven fabrics 21A and 31A and lower layer nonwoven fabrics 21B and 31B in each of the front body F and the back body B areas, and uses a material which can be extended in the longitudinal direction of the diaper as the upper layer nonwoven fabrics 21A and 31A and the lower layer nonwoven fabrics 21B and 31B of the exterior sheets 20 and 30. Also, by using a material which can be extended in the longitudinal direction of the diaper at least in either the upper layer nonwoven fabrics 21A and 31A or the upper layer nonwoven fabrics 21B and 31B, longitudinal extensibility is added to at least the parts of the exterior sheets 20 and 30 which do not overlie the absorbent body 10.
