PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insecticide composition which does not have a problem such as ignition risk or the odor of a solvent, is excellent in water resistance, does not cause drips, and is good in sprayability, and to provide a spray type insecticide using the same.
SOLUTION: The insecticide composition comprises the following ingredients (A), (B), and (C): (A) Cellulose fibers which have a number-average fiber diameter of 2 to 150 nm, whose cellulose has a cellulose I type crystal structure, wherein the C6-hydroxyl groups of glucose units in the cellulose molecule are selectively oxidized into aldehyde groups and carboxyl groups, and which has a carboxyl group content of 0.6 to 2.0 mmol/g (B) an insecticide ingredient and (C) water.
