The absorbent article (10) is provided with: a front waistline region (20)； a rear waistline region (30)； a crotch region (25) which is located between the front waistline region and the rear waistline region； an absorbent material (40) which comprises an absorbent core (42) and a core wrap (44) surrounding the absorbent core, and which is arranged at least in the crotch region； compressed parts (46) at which at least the absorbent material is compressed in the thickness direction and which extend, in the crotch region, in the shapes of lines or broken lines in a direction that is inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction (L) of the absorbent article； and a stretchable sheet (200) which is arranged on the skin-uncontacting side relative to the absorbent material in the crotch region and which can stretch at least in the longitudinal direction. The core wrap comprises: a piece of thin paper (44a)； and a non-woven fabric (44b) which is arranged on the opposite side of the thin paper with the absorbent core interposed therebetween.
