There are provided, inter alia, novel stabilized compositions for treating skin conditions wherein a therapeutically effective dosage of sulfur compound is applied which results in healing. The utilized dosage of sulfur compound results in a quicker breakdown of the virus capsid structure, resulting e.g., in faster healing. The dosing regimen to maintain the concentrations of the sulfur containing amino acid at the affected site also helps achieve quicker healing. The formulations and the methods are applicable to a variety of skin conditions including cold sores, herpes, genital herpes and shingles.La présente invention concerne, entre autres, de nouvelles compositions stabilisées permettant de traiter des affections cutanées, un dosage thérapeutiquement efficace d'un composé du soufre étant appliqué, conduisant à une cicatrisation. Le dosage utilisé dudit composé du soufre conduit à une décomposition plus rapide de la structure de capside du virus, conduisant, par exemple, à une cicatrisation plus rapide. La posologie permettant de maintenir les concentrations en acide aminé contenant du soufre au niveau du site touché permet également d'obtenir une cicatrisation plus rapide. Les formulations et les méthodes sont applicables à diverses affections cutanées notamment l'herpès labial, l'herpès, l'herpès génital et le zona.
